45 multiple-choice questions in Spanish with four answers, 90 minutes. You pass with 32 correct answers (at most 13 mistakes) and within the mistake limits of the must-pass topics: Buoyage (2), Collision regulations (COLREGs) (5) and Chartwork (2).

How does the PER exam work?
45 multiple-choice questions in Spanish, each with four options, in 90 minutes. You pass with 32 correct answers and within the mistake limits of the must-pass topics (Buoyage: max. 2, Collision regulations (COLREGs): max. 5 and Chartwork: max. 2).
How much does it cost to sit the exam?
Exam fee: Murcia: €52.06; Valencian Community: €62.97. If you pass, you also pay for the licence to be issued.
